The Short Answer

What does a brochure design agency in India do?

A brochure design agency in India turns your company story or product range into a printed and digital document that persuades a specific reader: a corporate profile for buyers and partners, a product catalogue for distributors, or a trifold for an exhibition stand. The work covers content structure, narrative, layout, image direction and print-ready files. Identity Makers has designed brochures since 2014, inside our brand identity discipline, so every brochure is your brand system applied to print. Each project is quoted on page count and complexity.

This page covers which brochure format fits which job, how to structure a company profile, how to build a catalogue that scales, print specifications, and what brochure design costs. If your brand identity is not settled yet, start with our brand identity agency in India page so the brochure has a system to follow.

The Discipline

A Brochure Design Agency in India That Designs to Persuade

Identity Makers is a professional brochure design agency in India, designing corporate profiles and product catalogues for businesses since 2014. Brochure design here sits inside our brand identity discipline, which means your brochure isn't a standalone artifact, it's your brand system applied to print. Every project starts with the question most designers skip: who reads this, where, and what should happen next? Structure and narrative come before layout.

Choosing a Format

Which Brochure Format Fits Your Job?

The format is set by who reads it, where, and what should happen next. Choosing the wrong one is the most common reason a well-designed brochure goes unread.

01Credibility

Company Profile

For buyers, partners, tenders and investors. Proves you are a serious, capable company before the first meeting. Usually 8 to 16 pages.

02Range

Product Catalogue

For distributors, dealers and procurement teams. Organises many products so the right one can be found, compared and ordered.

03Handover

Trifold & Bifold

For exhibitions, events and counters. One idea, one offer, one next step, readable in under a minute.

04Detail

Product Sheet

A single product or service on one or two pages, with specifications. Built to be emailed, printed on demand and updated often.

05Specification

Technical Brochure

For engineers, architects and specifiers. Data, systems and standards presented clearly enough to be cited in a project specification.

06Screen

Digital Brochure

A compressed, link-enabled PDF built for email and messaging apps, where many brochures are opened first.

Company Profiles

How should a company profile be structured?

A company profile is read by someone deciding whether you are worth a meeting. It wins by answering their questions in the order they ask them, not by listing everything the company has ever done.

The structure we start from runs: what you do and for whom, in one page; the problems you solve and the proof that you solve them; your capabilities, facilities or process; the products or services in detail; the clients, certifications and standards that de-risk the decision; and a clear next step with contact details. Founder letters, history timelines and mission statements earn their place only when they help that reader decide, and usually belong after the proof, not before it.

The writing matters as much as the layout. We structure the narrative and information hierarchy before any page is designed, and flag where your content is thin, repetitive or unsupported so the document says less and proves more.

How do you design a product catalogue that scales?

A catalogue is a system, not a sequence of pages. We design master page templates for each product type, a consistent specification and pricing layout, and a navigation system of sections, tabs and indexes, so new products slot in without redesigning the document. When a catalogue runs to many SKUs, we work from your product data in a spreadsheet, which keeps specifications accurate and makes the next edition faster.

Photography decides how premium a catalogue feels. Where product photos are inconsistent, we set an image direction and retouching standard so every product sits on the same background, angle and light.

How a brochure project runs

The page explains what a brochure should contain. This section explains how we get there. Each stage ends with something you approve, so the document is never redesigned late because the content changed underneath it.

  1. Brief and reader. Who reads the brochure, where they get it, and what they should do next. This decides the format, the length and the tone before any page is designed.
  2. Content audit and outline. We review your existing material, map it to the reader's questions, and produce a page-by-page outline. Gaps, repetition and claims without proof are flagged here, while they are cheap to fix.
  3. Design direction. Cover and key spreads designed in your brand system, approved before the full document is built.
  4. Full layout. Every page laid out, with images placed, specifications checked against your data, and a consistent navigation system.
  5. Proofing and files. Your team proofreads and approves the text. Then we prepare print-ready files to your printer's specification, plus the digital version.

What you receive at the end

  • Print-ready PDF with bleed, crop marks and colour profiles matched to your printer.
  • A compressed digital PDF for email and messaging apps, with working links.
  • Open source files, so future editions can be updated without starting again. Final files are handed over once full payment is made.
  • For catalogues, master page templates and the specification layout, so new products follow the same system.

Brochure, pitch deck or website: which do you need?

They overlap, but each does a different job. A brochure is left behind: it has to make the case on its own after the meeting, at a stand, or when it is forwarded to a decision-maker you never meet. A pitch deck supports someone presenting, so it can be lighter on text and heavier on visuals. A website is found by search and updated constantly. Many B2B companies use all three. Design them from one brand system and one core story, so a buyer who reads the brochure and then visits the website meets the same company. If you also need the website, see our UI UX design agency in India page.

Keeping a catalogue current between editions

Catalogues go out of date as products and prices change. We plan for that from the first edition: prices and fast-changing specifications can sit in a separate insert or price list, the product pages are built on master templates, and your product data stays in one spreadsheet that drives the layout. The next edition is then an update, not a redesign.

What else moves the price of a brochure project

On top of page count, specification pages and content structuring already covered above, four things change the scope:

  • Copywriting: editing supplied text takes less time than drafting sections from interviews and notes.
  • Imagery: retouching inconsistent product photos, sourcing images or creating illustrations and infographics adds design time.
  • Languages: a bilingual or regional-language edition needs its own typesetting and proofing.
  • Versions: a print edition, a digital edition and a short trifold made from the same content are separate layouts.
Production

Print Specifications That Make or Break a Brochure

A brochure is judged in the hand. These decisions are made at the start, with your printer, because they change the layout.

1

Size & Page Count

A4 and A5 are standard. Saddle-stitched brochures need a page count in multiples of four, so the content plan is fitted to the format early.

2

Paper & Weight

Heavier covers and coated inner pages read as premium; uncoated stock reads as natural and takes notes. Paper choice also changes how colour prints.

3

Binding

Saddle stitch for thinner brochures, perfect binding for thick catalogues, wire-o for documents that must lie flat on a desk.

4

Finishes

Matte or gloss lamination, spot UV, foil and embossing. Each adds cost per copy, so we use them where the brochure is held, not everywhere.

Every brochure ships in two versions: print-ready files with bleed, crop marks and colour profiles matched to your printer, and a compressed digital PDF sized for email and messaging apps.
Your Options

Who Can Design Your Brochure?

Four realistic routes. The right one depends on how much the brochure has to sell and how often it will be updated.

1

A Template or Your Printer

Fast and cheap, and fine for an internal or one-off document. The result looks like every other company that used the same template.

2

A Freelance Designer

A good fit for a short brochure when your content is already written and structured. Ask who will organise the content and coordinate with the printer.

3

A Generalist Marketing Agency

Convenient alongside campaigns. Check whether they will structure the narrative or only lay out the text you supply.

4

A Brand Identity Studio

What we do. The brochure is designed as part of your brand system, with the content structured before layout and the print run managed through approval.

Cost & Timeline

How much does brochure design cost in India?

Brochure design is quoted per project because the work scales with the document. Three things move the number: the page count, the number of product pages with specifications, and how much content structuring and image work is needed before design starts. A simple trifold and a two-hundred-page catalogue are different projects, and a fixed headline price would be wrong for one of them. Contact us with a short brief and you receive a fixed quote before work begins.

How long does brochure design take?

Timelines depend on page count and how ready the content is, and are confirmed with your quote. Larger catalogues are scheduled in stages, usually templates first, then product pages in batches, so you can review early and printing can be planned. The biggest variable is content: brochures with approved text and photography move fastest.

What do you need from us to start?

Your existing brochure or website content, product data and specifications in a spreadsheet for catalogues, product and facility photography, your brand assets, the main reader and what you want them to do next, and your printer's details if you have one. Brochures you admire from your industry, and ones you do not, help us calibrate quickly.

Do you write the brochure content?

We structure the narrative, set the information hierarchy and edit your content so it reads clearly and persuasively. Where content is missing, we flag the gaps and can draft section copy from your inputs for your approval. Technical specifications and claims always come from you.

A company profile proves the company is credible and capable, for buyers, partners and tenders. A product catalogue helps a reader find, compare and order products. Many B2B businesses need both, designed in the same brand system.

Do you design catalogues with hundreds of products?

Yes. We build master templates and work from your product data, so large catalogues stay consistent and the next edition is faster to update.

Do you design brochures in Hindi or regional languages?

Yes. Bilingual and regional-language editions are typeset and proofed as separate versions. Your team or translator approves the final text.

Can you make an interactive digital brochure?

Yes. The digital PDF can include clickable contents, internal navigation and links to your website, contact details or messaging apps.

Do you arrange printing?

No. You choose and work with your own printer, and we prepare the files to their specification. If a technical term or a file question from the printer gets in the way, we help you sort it out.

Should a brochure be designed before or after our logo and brand identity?

After. A brochure applies your brand system, so if the identity is still changing, settle it first through our brand identity agency in India work. Otherwise the brochure will need redesigning.
